One bad MLB bet does not just cost you money.
It exposes the real problem.
Most bettors are firing before they ever have an edge.
They see a line, like a team, check the starting pitcher, and place the bet. Then when it loses, they blame bad luck.
That is not bad luck.
That is betting blind.
At Pappy’s PlayBook, I do not bet baseball that way.
Every MLB pick has to earn its way onto the card. I do not bet every game. I do not force action. I do not chase bad numbers just because there is a full board.
Before I release a pick, the matchup has to pass my private checklist.
I am looking deeper than the average bettor has time to look. Pitching. Bullpens. Lineups. Weather. Market value.
But the real edge is not just knowing those things matter.
The real edge is knowing when they all line up.
That is the difference between a random pick and a real handicap.
June showed exactly what that process can produce.
Pappy’s PlayBook June MLB Record:: 21-7 (75%) +$7,970
That did not happen by guessing.
That happened by being selective, disciplined, and attacking the right spots.
Most bettors lose because they want action. They want to bet every game, every night, every hot team, and every favorite that looks easy.
That is exactly what sportsbooks want.
I take a different approach.
Some games get passed. Some games get watched. Some games get circled. And when a play stands out, members get the official release sent directly by email.
Pappy’s PlayBook Bet Ratings
My bet ratings are simple:
5* = to win $500
10* = to win $1,000
20* = to win $2,000
A 5* play is a standard official release. A 10* play is a stronger-rated position. A 20* play is my highest-rated release, and those are rare.
When I rate a play higher, there is a reason.
But let me be very clear about something important.
Those dollar amounts are examples based on my official tracking system. You do not have to bet the same amount I do.
Every bettor has a different bankroll. Some people may bet hundreds per play. Some may bet $100. Some may only be comfortable betting $50 or less.
That is completely fine.
The key is consistency.
If your max comfort level is $50, then scale the ratings to fit your bankroll. Maybe your 5* play is $25 and your stronger-rated play is $50. Maybe your normal play is smaller. The exact amount is up to you.
What matters is that you do not randomly jump around based on emotion.
Do not bet $25 one day, $200 the next day, and then chase losses because you are frustrated. That is how bettors get into trouble.
The rating system gives you structure.
It tells you which plays are standard releases, which plays are stronger, and which plays are rare high-rated spots. You decide the dollar amount that fits your bankroll.
Even smaller bettors can still benefit from a strong documented run. June finished 21-7 (75%) +$7,970 on my official tracking scale. A bettor playing a smaller version of that same scale would still be looking at strong profit relative to their bankroll.
That is the point.
You do not need to be a high-stakes bettor to follow Pappy’s PlayBook.
You just need to be consistent, disciplined, and willing to stop betting blind.

I’m only been with Pappy a short time but from what I seen he is honest and just doesn’t give you a bunch of games to bet on. He does his research and gives you the best play of the day, and if there is nothing worth while he will tell you. He is not perfect and doesn’t win every one, but who does!!! My advice is do what he suggests and eventually your bankroll will increase. I have different ones over the years and it’s the same BS, Pappy is different, when he is successful you will be successful!
