Arizona Team Total Over 4.5 — WIN
Final score: Diamondbacks 9, Cardinals 4
This week’s MLB record: 1–1 +$450

Pappy’s 10* release didn’t make members sweat for long.

Arizona entered the fourth inning trailing 1–0 before sending nine hitters to the plate and exploding for six runs. Tommy Troy tied the game with an RBI single, Ildemaro Vargas followed with a two-run double, and LuJames Groover’s first career home run pushed Arizona past the required five-run mark. Ketel Marte then went back-to-back with Groover to extend the lead to 6–1.

The 10★ ticket cleared before the fourth inning was over.

Arizona didn’t stop after cashing the wager. The Diamondbacks added two more runs in the seventh and another in the eighth, finishing with nine runs on 12 hits. Every Arizona starter recorded at least one hit, while Troy finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

The Handicap Played Out

The foundation of the play was Arizona’s opportunity against struggling St. Louis starter Matthew Liberatore—and that matchup delivered.

Liberatore surrendered six earned runs, eight hits and two walks over 5⅓ innings. Arizona also received production throughout the lineup instead of relying on one superstar or one isolated home run. The top, middle and bottom of the order all contributed to the scoring.

That is exactly what Pappy looks for in a team-total wager: a vulnerable starting pitcher, lineup depth and multiple ways for the offense to convert traffic into runs. The goal is not to depend on one perfect sequence. The play needs enough scoring paths to survive normal baseball variance.

We opened the week with a loss and didn’t hide from it. Pappy went back through the board, stayed disciplined and followed it with a convincing 10★ winner.
